Most of the candidates holding either of these qualifications: B.E./B.Tech, M.C.A./M.Sc., in Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, have applied for e-governance post.

In each districts, nearly 900 & above candidates applied for this single competitive post. On an average, there should be competition among 500 for 1 post.

Initially for one year, the period of contract will be extended on year-to-year basis for two more years. 

Information Communication Technology, and Software Engineering, with consistent academic record of 60 per cent aggregate and above from SSLC onwards are eligible to apply for the post entailing a stipend of Rs. 23,500 per month (with 10 per cent increment every year).

 Scheme of online examination :

Fifty per cent weightage points is given for the aggregate scores at each stage, and the rest will be based on their score in a two-hour online examination with 100 multiple choice questions100 Multiple Choice questions covering the following topics :

• Basics of computers
• Basic programming in C / C++ / Java
• Networking
• Internet Technologies
• Hardware
• Database Management Systems and related areas
• Recent Developments.

Note: Wrong answers will carry negative marks of (-1/3rd) of the correct answer.

The list of eligible candidates will be published on November 7 in the official website, and the venue and timing will be made known by November 12, the release said.
